About us
Just Mammals is an ecological consultancy working with so much more than just mammals. We have thirty years' experience of undertaking projects involving mammals and have specialist knowledge with respect to badgers, bats, dormice, otters and water voles. Despite our name we are also very experienced in working with other species ranging from great crested newts and slow-worms to marsh fritillary butterflies. Botanical surveys are a major part of our work and we also undertake our own original research.
Our clients range from small developers to government agencies, and from projects as small as barn conversions to major multi-million pound infra-structure developments. Based in Brecon in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, we are ideally placed to undertake projects in mid and south Wales and the west of England. We also go further afield and listed below are just some of the local authority areas we are working or have worked in recently.
Our staff are qualified ecologists with extensive experience of surveying for protected species and the majority are either members or associates of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management. All work is undertaken in compliance with the Institute's code of practice. Our senior staff are also trainers for protected species, and training courses are available upon request. In addition, our staff have first aid, confined spaces and asbestos awareness training.
It doesn't matter what the ecological service you require, we can help you with it. Please feel free to look through our pages, or simply give us a call, after all:
