Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) activity is carried out at any time of the year as and when it is required.
What does it entail?
An ECoW supervises work on a development to ensure that work complies with an ecological method statement or with current wildlife protection and planning legislation and best practice. The ECoW on site might give a toolbox talk prior to work commencing, supervise works or organise translocation of protected species along with many other tasks.
